Azania Andrews is an accomplished business, marketing and digital leader with a successful track record establishing and growing iconic brands.
At Anheuser-Busch (AB) Azania delivers consumer engagement strategies across paid media, sports and entertainment partnerships and experiential marketing for the U.S. portfolio as Vice President, Consumer Connections. Her team develops content and experiences to strengthen the brands’ position in culture, and drives strategy and activation of 200+ sports and entertainment partnerships.
This followed her time as Vice President, Michelob ULTRA, when Azania led business and commercial strategy to transform the beer into the fastest-growing brand in the U.S. She was responsible for all brand creative, including multiple Super Bowl campaigns, and launched Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold, the brand’s most successful innovation in its history. Earlier at AB, Azania was Senior Director, Digital Connections in New York, NY, and Director, Digital Strategy & Innovation in Palo Alto, CA.
Prior to this, Azania was Vice President, Business Development for WPP Digital; Senior Brand Strategist Team Dell for Young & Rubicam, a member of WPP; Digital Strategist for Schematic; Summer Marketing Associate, PepsiCo Foodservice for PepsiCo; and Manager, Communications, Marketing & Events for the Robin Hood Foundation.
Azania earned a Master of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where she was Co-Chair of the African American Student Union Conference, and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Students at Stanford University, where she was awarded the John Gardner Fellowship in Public Service and was a member of the Varsity Track & Field Team. She is the recipient of multiple awards, including a Titanium Lion for Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold Contract for Change at the 2021 Cannes Lions Creative Festival, 13 Pencils at the 2021 One Show in Support of Contract for Change, 2021 Biz Bash 500, 2020 Pro Awards Gold, 2020 USA Today Ad Meter – No. 11, 2019 Ad Age Women to Watch and 2018 Ad Week Most Powerful Women in Sports. She also leads the team that was named Sports Business Journal’s 2020 Sponsor of the Year.
Away from work, Azania keeps busy as the mother of a 7-year-old and is an avid consumer of pop culture. She is an aspiring golfer and an ardent fan of the Knicks, Giants and Yankees.
