From your local pharmacy to your local grocery store people working in local essential businesses have been doing their part to keep us fed and safe. As a longstanding partner to so many local communities around the nation, Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO) felt strongly that we should use the power of our medium during this time to show our support for these businesses and the employees who are giving their all for us.
I’m extremely proud that this past week Clear Channel launched a first of its kind campaign – #OpenForBusiness – a digital OOH campaign that features local businesses that are staying open to provide us with essential products and services. And all of it is 100% donated by CCO.
The initiative uses digital billboards throughout the country to highlight that these essential businesses, both big and small, from Applebee’s to Safeway to Valley Toyota Dealers, are indeed #OpenForBusiness. The campaigns, which are actively running across the nation through the end of May, reiterate that these essential businesses, many of which are at the heart of driving local economies, are up and running.
Residents rely on these businesses every day for meals, prescriptions, healthcare and home goods, among other things, during this public health crisis. Employees are putting their health at risk by going to work every day to provide for the community, and many of these businesses are struggling to survive. Clear Channel Outdoor wants to lend a hand in changing this – supporting those who remain #OpenForBusiness and are actively looking for ways to connect with and continue serving their communities.
The advertising campaigns are also being featured across Clear Channel’s social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to further support local brands and help get the word out.
Team members across all departments at Clear Channel Outdoor pitched in under difficult circumstances to help make this first of a kind campaign a success. We are truly grateful for everything these businesses are doing. Now let’s do our part and patronize our essential businesses. #OpenForBusiness
