In August of 2017 The ADVERTISING Club unveiled its new brand identity as part of a property overhaul. gyro, the world’s first full-service, global creative B2B powerhouse and Corporate Member led the rebrand process from start to finish.
The AD Club of NY is one of the only industry associations whose member base reflects all areas of the industry from marketers, media, publishers, agencies, academia and tech.
And for Club members it comes as no surprise that that there are twenty+ event properties, so needless to say gyro had their work cut out for them. How does a 122 year old organization continue to attract and retain all areas and levels within the advertising and marketing ecosystem? Designers at agency gyro faced a job far more thematically complicated than usual.
The team based their rebrand on heraldry, the system devised in the Middle Ages by which hereditary symbols are arranged on a coat of arms. Read the full story about how creative director Kash Sree approached the project here.

All the work paid off as gyro had a strong showing at the 2018 BMA Global ACE Awards. The agency collected an impressive 26 accolades, with winning work including Corporate Image – Logo Design and Corporate Image – Design System for their pro-bono work for The AD Club.
